Umm al Quwain UAE is the second smallest Emirates of United Arab Emirates with least population. It is located in the northern side of the country. Umm al-Quwain means “Mother of two powers”
It is a small Emirate surrounded by island dotted lagoons. It is exactly the opposite of Dubai in many ways. Because of the silence in the city, it is anti-Dubai. Also this city does not have any resort or mega mall. Get an experience of the oil days of UAE from this small city.

1.Umm al-Quwain Fort
This fort was once the Emirate’s Ruler home. It was guarded and was the entrance to the old city. On the one side of it is the sea and other side is the creek.
Finally it has become a police station than a museum. Also it houses many weapons used in the ancient days.
2. Old Harbor
It has a traditional dhow building yard. Also the place includes some stone houses built in the old days with plasters and artwork on them. In addition this is where the skilled boat craftsman continue to assemble their traditional boats.
3. Island of Umm al-Quwain
There are a number of islands in Umm al-Quwain surrounded with sand and mangrove forests. These islands are separated by a series of creek. The larger island includes Al Sinniyah, Jazirat Al Ghallah and Al Keabe.
And the smaller ones are Al Sow, Al Qaram, Al Humaidi, Al Chewria and Al Harmala. There is a creek called madaar creek, which provides navigable waterway for the fishermans. It has very low tide and average depth.
4. Al Dour
It is the largest Pre-Islamic site of Umm Al Quwain in Persian Gulf Coast. Once it was an important trading port. There are now thousands of graves among the houses, some of which has more than one individual body.
Small Square Fort has round corner towers and small square temples. They are dedicated to semitic sun god called shamash.
5. Dreamland Aqua Park
This is the largest water park of UAE. There is also a landscaped garden with rides, slides and other attractions. In addition this park has a daily capacity of about 10,000 visitors.
6. Camel Racing
At Al Labsa you can get a beautiful glimpse of the camel racing track. There are wooden dales along the sand dunes. Also it provides an amazing terrain for off read desert drivers or the dune bashers.

Umm Al Quwain Free Zone
The free zone of Umm Al Quwain is located near to the seaport area of UAE. Also it takes just an hour to reach the free zone from Dubai and Sharjah International Airport.
Also this free zone is government authorized to incorporate business companies owning trade license.
In addition all trade, contracts, imports, exports, visa, and banking have the similar legal freedom inside UAE. There is also no payment for custom duties for re export in the Umm Al Quwain UAE Free Zone.
